First week!

Yes, classes has begun. there goes my more than needed naps and sleep..and here comes one of the toughest semester of the year! I wonder how am i going to survive this semester with the stress of russian language and 6 finals at the end of the semester. just breeze through this yy..breeze through. i can even feel the stress of OPX - and its just the first friday of the semester.

some stress are just so unnecessary at times.

besides the first week of class, its also chinese new year week welcoming the great year of snake! not a big fan but i know my bff carmen is, she thinks a yellow slimy snake is pretty... caarmennnn youre weirddddd..hahaha XD according to horoscope it would be a rather normal and stable year for the goats. i seem to recall reading that last year too. hm. im rather depressed about the fact that ive been missing cny celebrations with my family for almost two years now, and i desperately want to be with them lou-sanging and receiving red packets from my parents personally not a picture of the angpao on Whatsapp!

every single family wedding dinner we go together, our relatives will have difficulty telling who is older and who is younger. maybe its the size :p or because of the age gap, merely two years. she doesnt even call me "jie". =.=''

with the new year came the new look! its not obvious here but my hair isnt as black as it was anymore. sometimes life really love giving you unexpected surprises. after a roomie bonding session (well she dyed my hair, bonding, geddit.), with high hopes that it wouldnt turn out so bad. i screamed in the bathroom when i was done washing, pinched my cheeks to make sure i wasnt dreaming. thank god the color was slightly better few days later. now its chestnut brown instead of light golden retriever fur brown. hahahaha

Despite not being able to have reunion dinner with my family, i had one with my little family here in Moscow. With groupmates and there was even yeesang! I will make a good housewife. I WILL! ahahaha. Onion and i improvised so many ingredients with whatever we can grab from the hypermarket and thank god it turned out better than we expected. With internet, anything is possible. :) Hard to believe but believe your eyes! tadahhh. hehe

i know the lack of sesame seeds made it less yee sang and sausages werent supposed to be there but, it was a backup plan, in case the vegetables werent edible. at least people would still be eating the yeesang/sausage. :) imma genius!

The plan was to cook chinese food and gather and eat like typical chinese people in chinatown but failed. we sat on the floor, table wasnt big enough to fit all 11 of us, and we even have indian dishes cos my groupmates are, well..multiracial. haha. im happy to have them around during the new years eve, cos truthfully i would sob and cry missing my family if i wasnt surrounded with happy people. even when we lou the yee sang it was so hilarious, sausages were flinging off the plate, wasnt a pleasant sight but memories make you smile :)

I read on NUS confessions in FB there was this guy who secretly flings yee sang all over peoples hands amidst the screaming and yelling, and i secretly tried. haahahah. thus the sausages on the floor..sorry guys. hahaaha. it was so fun! while everyone else screaming pass pass pass, huat huat huat and everything good, im busy flinging colored radish to everyone HAHAHAHA

lalala. i do hope every year there will be celebrations like this tho, its fun despite the hassle :D

The end! Ive been procrastinating on my updates - because i am lazy and i seriously love sleeping. Lets pray classes get cancelled and something more interesting than classes everyday happens in my life. So mundane im beginning to think i might just fit becoming a rock.
